What a Night!

We arrived at the Chequer's Inn at about 6.30pm to get the room ready and I think we were all feeling a little nervous and full of trepidation!! Would anyone turn up? We set to and put up banners, balloons and a few old photographs and with a few minutes to spare we ventured downstairs to treat ourselves to a well earned drink and to await the first arrivals.

Dawn Roe arrived first, closely followed by a rather nervous looking Steven (Catlick) Martin and then Sheila Nicholls, who'd travelled all the way from Leeds. It was then the turn of David (Eddie) Edwards who seemed to have two drinks in his hands all night!! Eventually, a few more people started arriving, mainly the girls, think the lads were partaking in a bit of dutch courage downstairs!! Before long the room was buzzing with people greeting long lost friends accompanied with lots of laughter and a few gasps as old school photographs made an appearance and were passed round!!

It was a fantastic event and I don't think Ashlie, Tracey and I could stop smiling all evening, maybe a little out of relief that it all worked out, but mainly because everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. It was fantastic that some people came a long way and we hope that they thought it was a trip worthwhile.
The first lot of photo's from the evening are below, more to follow.

A big thank you to all who organised the reunion.
A great sucess. I think that everybody enjoyed themselves and it was terrific to see all the familiar faces.
We must not wait another 30 years to get everyone back together!!!
Once again, thank you for the invitation, see you soon,

Best Regards,
Tim Johnson
